Scoring
What Is Task Fulfillment?
Definition
Task fulfillment is one of the four YKI writing scoring criteria. It measures whether the candidate addresses all required content points of the prompt, stays on topic, and uses an appropriate register. Missing content points directly lowers the task fulfillment score.
Meaning in English
Task fulfillment measures how completely the response covers everything the prompt asks for.
Meaning in Finnish
Tehtävän suorittaminen
Why It Matters for YKI
Missing even one content point from the prompt can drop the task fulfillment score by a full level. Reading the prompt carefully and checking off each point is the highest-impact writing test strategy.
Example
If a prompt asks for a reason, an apology, and a proposal, the response must include all three; omitting the proposal loses task fulfillment points.
